The push rod of the ATV carburetor is connected with the piston in the air cylinder, and a spring is installed on the pushrod. The lower part of the air cylinder is connected with the space in front of the throat through the air channel, and there is an air channel above the air cylinder to the back of the throttle. When the vacuum behind the throttle body is large, the piston sucks upward. When the vacuum behind the throttle valve becomes small, the piston push rod will move down under the action of the spring. In ATV carburetor, the mechanical economizer can only work when the throttle opening is large to a certain extent. The vacuum economizer is related to the opening of the throttle and the speed of the gasoline engine.
When the engine accelerates rapidly, the ATV carburetor may backfire. It is usually caused by blockage of the acceleration oil passage. Under such circumstances, we should try the following methods. Suddenly increase the throttle of the ATV carburetor but close the choke and cover the ATV carburetor port. Shut the engine and continuously and suddenly step on the accelerator pedal and make the throttle of ATV carburetor open and close continuously, and check whether there is gasoline ejected from the fuel injection nozzle of the accelerator pump from the carburetor port; If no gasoline is ejected, the fault is at the acceleration pump or acceleration measuring hole. Check whether the acceleration linkage is in good condition. Remove the ATV carburetor cover and check whether the snap ring of the acceleration pump rod falls off. If they are in good condition, check whether the oil inlet and outlet valve are blocked by dirt.
