How to detect the state of engine through motorcycle sensor?

The main function of motorcycle sensor is to detect whether the starting motor is in idle condition or load condition, or to detect it is accelerating or decelerating. It is essentially a variable resistor and several switches, which are installed on the throttle body. The rotating shaft of the resistor is linked with the throttle valve. It has two contacts: full open contact and idle contact. When the throttle valve is in the idle position, the idle contact is closed and when the throttle valve is in other positions, the idle contact opens. The system can identify the load of the engine according to the signal voltage value. According to the change rate of signal voltage in a certain period of time, the system can correct the fuel injection quantity or control the fuel cut-off.



What is the working principle of motorcycle sensors?

The motorcycle sensor is installed at the root of the throttle. Its function is to measure the oxygen content in the exhaust gas and determine whether the mixture burns completely and whether the air-fuel ratio is normal. When the actual air-fuel ratio becomes higher, the oxygen concentration in the exhaust will increase. At this time, the motorcycle sensor will increase the quantity of fuel injection. When the air-fuel ratio is lower, the oxygen concentration in the exhaust decreases, and the oxygen sensor will accurately control the emissions of compounds in the exhaust through feedback the results to the ECU. It can also make up for the error of air-fuel ratio caused by other parts of the system, so it is an important sensor.



How to clean motorcycle sensors?

Remove the motorcycle sensors and add excess hydrochloric acid with 5-10% ferric chloride solution. The proportion depends on the condition of the surface of the sensor. Soak the motorcycle sensors in the solution, take it out after 10-15 minutes, and rinse it with water. Not only should we ensure that the four holes around it is unobstructed, but the carrier inside is clean after cleaning. If the cleaning work is not that satisfactory, continue the first step until you think it is clean enough. After washing the motorcycle sensor with water, install the sensor and repeat the above work. Generally speaking, if the internal porcelain body is not cracked and the heating resistance is not open, motorcycle sensors experience the above cleaning steps can all return to normal operation.
